HOW
DO I...
MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT ?
We are constantly trying to improve patient access to the doctors. Currently, each morning we offer a sudden and serious clinic, based on a team approach (one doctor and one practice nurse). This clinic is open between 8.30 and 10.00am each weekday morning.
We also offer routine appointments that may be booked up to two weeks in advance.
Each month we have a large number of people who do not attend and do not let us know that they cannot make their appointments. These are wasted appointments which delay others from obtaining appointments they may urgently need. Please help us by phoning as soon as you realise you cannot attend your appointment.
Doctors are normally available in the following surgery patterns. However, these patterns are subject to change from time to time as a result of necessary changes to our work routines.
Any modification to our appointments system will be publicised within the surgery.

HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT ?
If your condition prevents you attending the surgery and you require a home visit, please telephone the surgery before 10.30am. Brief details given to the receptionist help us to understand the urgency of your request.
Please note that the doctor can see at least four patients in the surgery during the time it takes to complete one home visit. The facilities in the surgery are also better for medical examination and treatment than in the home. Please do not therefore request a home visit unless the patient is too ill to leave the house. Routine home visits are not compatible with the other demands of modern general practice.
